Yes! We offer pickup and delivery services for grandfather clocks throughout Kauai. This service is included in our standard grandfather clock service pricing. For clocks requiring restoration, we may need to transport them to our workshop for more extensive work. We'll always discuss logistics with you upfront.
For mechanical watches, we recommend a complete service every 4-5 years, or sooner if you notice timekeeping issues. Quartz watches typically need battery replacement every 1-2 years. Regular professional cleaning can extend the time between major services. Your watch manual may also have manufacturer's recommendations.
A complete watch service includes full disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning of all components, inspection of each part for wear or damage, replacement of worn parts as needed, lubrication with quality synthetic oils, timing adjustment, and pressure testing for water resistance. We also clean and polish the case and bracelet as part of our standard service.
Yes, we always provide a detailed written estimate before beginning any work. For simple services, we can often quote over the phone. For more complex repairs or restoration work, we may need to examine the piece first. This assessment is free for most services. We'll explain exactly what needs to be done and why.
We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards. Payment is due upon completion of work. For larger restoration projects, we may request a deposit before starting work. We can also arrange payment plans for extensive restoration projects on a case-by-case basis.
Yes! We offer a 12-month warranty on all our workmanship for watch services and clock repairs. If any issues arise from our work within that time, we'll correct them at no charge. This warranty covers the service we performed but does not cover damage from accidents, misuse, or normal wear of straps and bracelets.
Simply bring your timepiece to us! If it's a watch, we recommend not wearing it for 24 hours before your appointment to allow any oils from your skin to dissipate. For grandfather clocks, make sure the weights are secured and the pendulum is removed if possible. We'll handle all the details from there.
